1. Robert "Bob" Hoffer – Partner – DBL - heads the firm’s employment law division, which represents employers of all sizes including some of the largest throughout the Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati area. His employment law practice covers all issues impacting employers on a daily basis including compliance with the state and federal employment laws. In his career, Bob has worked closely with all state and federal administrative agencies including the EEOC, DOL, DOJ, Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, Kentucky Labor Cabinet and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. A large part of Bob’s practice includes litigating employment cases in federal and state courts.

2. Kelly Schoening Holden – Partner – DBL - Kelly represents private and public employers in all facets of employment law. Her employment law practice includes advising clients on compliance with various employment laws and providing in-house training on such issues. Kelly has experience working with the EEOC, DOL, DOJ, Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, Kentucky Labor Cabinet, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, as well as litigating cases in federal and state courts. She also drafts employment and non-compete agreements, with an emphasis on health care provider and physician agreements. She also advises companies on I-9 compliance and performs I-9 audits, conducts harassment investigations, drafts employee handbooks and employment policies and, does training on all aspects of employment law. Kelly was featured on WVXU Cincinnati, as a subject matter expert, to speak on 25 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the impact it has.

3. Nick Birkenhauer – Partner – DBL - Nick is a business lawyer whose practice is focused on assisting employers with all aspects of Human Resources and Employment Law. Nick has extensive experience working with employers of all sizes and across a wide array of industries, including healthcare and manufacturing. Nick has considerable employment litigation experience, and practices at all levels of Kentucky and Ohio state and federal courts. Nick also regularly represents his clients before state and federal administrative agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, Kentucky Labor Cabinet, Kentucky Human Rights Commission, and Kentucky Unemployment Commission.
