  • Happy #Shelter #Magic #Monday In the past month, students from several local schools have helped ESNKY with our mission to provide Life Saving, Life Changing shelter and services to adults in our community experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. It's always a joy to work with the next generation of volunteers, leaders, and change-makers right here in Northern Kentucky. ⭐ Students from St. Mary School proceeds from their first out-of-uniform "Duds Day" collection to the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky in honor of World Homelessness Day on October 10th. Their school year theme is “I Am Who I Am,” and this month’s theme was “I am hopeful.” 🦸 Students from Newport Central Catholic High School held a donation drive for cereal, coffee, and other essentials and invited our team to speak to their student body on "Superhero" out-of-uniform day. 🎒 Students from Sts Peter Paul Parish joined ESNKY for a tour of our 68-bed facility and are packing donation bags for our guests. ⚽ The Thomas More Saints Women's Soccer Team volunteered for #SaintsServe cleaning and organizing our bedrooms and donation room, and then took that team spirit to win on the road after leaving shelter! ❄️ As the weather gets colder, we hope your school will help the guests of ESNKY through a donation drive, out-of-uniform day, or volunteering. Email Britt.Schroeder@esnky.net to learn more and get involved.

  • Northern Kentucky was designated a Recovery Ready Community recently by Governor Andy Beshear. We are pleased to be a part of this community and excited that our emergency shelter services were highlighted as innovative and one of the key reasons for designation. We look forward to working collaboratively with our community to providing support for those in NKY who are facing addiction. Thank you to the Recovery Ready Communities Advisory Council for recognizing our role!
