We just used Jolly again today, Isaiah and Andrew were great, again. I find plumbers in general hard to get ahold of, I absoluteely love that Jolly does online scheduling and follows up with texts. So easy!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 3, 2022Previous reviewWe had a plumbing issue after 5 on a Friday. While the actual service could wait until the next week, I wanted to get something booked. I went with Jolly because I was easily able to schedule online, which literally no other plumbers do. As soon as I scheduled, I received a call confirming, also unexpected and great. Over the weekend I received reminder texts, and a text with the plumbers bio who had been assigned. Then the plumber, Andrew Voorhees, actually called to give me his ETA. Jolly overcommunicates and I love it, really a nice touch. Andrew was awesome, smart and efficient. He explained everything and was able to get us all taken care of. I wouldn't hesitate to use Jolly again, and I'd request Andrew. Thanks!

Called about the 93 dollar drain clean. Tech called and said the cost would be 479 dollars to clear (without seeing it) Jolly...you need to take the 93 dollar offer off your website if you are not going to honor it. It's called bait and switch.

Hi Jay, so sorry to hear about this. It seems we fell short here with our communication. We should of absolutely came out to assess the situation first. We are looking into this issue. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I think the business model of this company deserves a lower rating but I want to keep this review honest and fair.
I was going to fix my own toilet because it was constantly running. I shut off the valve and bought some parts. I noticed the valve was leaking and when I turned it back on the tank wasn't filling and the valve was still leaking. I worried that it may be leaking behind the wall so I called Jolly. Tech arrived very quickly. Valve just needed to be tightened. Easy fix. Service call was roughly $90 which is very fair especially considering how fast they arrived. Since I had the parts and he was there I asked if he could just fix the toilet. He pulled up the parts on his tablet and with the service call came out to roughly $350. He showed me the parts and prices on the tablet coming out to roughly $260 for a short supply line and toilet parts including flapper. It was less than $30 in parts for $260!
I understand it's a business and they have to profit but an 800% markup is insane.
I told this to the tech and he nicely explained they have to sell me something if he's going to fix it. He waived the service call fee, used half my parts, sold me a supply line and a part to fix the flapper for $160. Since I was willing to pay the $90 and $160 meant I didn't have to fix it myself I paid it. He did a great job and was professional.
My big issue is where does this company get off marking parts up so high?! I pictured my parents not understanding anything about plumbing just blindly paying the $350 and being taken advantage of. The job took less than 30 minutes. I feel like this business model is designed to take advantage of people who don't know any better.
Again, I stress the tech was professional and doing his job. He showed me the parts and prices on his tablet.
I have another job that I need a plumber for and I will not be using Jolly again. I do not recommend them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

On Monday August 7th, Erick and Shawn came to clear drains and use the camera. Erick no-showed the following day. We called. Jolly sent another who contradicted the conclusion and declined to use the camera. The sinks that Shawn "cleared" are exactly the same as before. Super slow. Thanks for nothing guys.

When I used to live in Newport I used Jolly several times. They were professional and timely. Highly recommend!
I tried using another local plumber, and he didn't fix the issue and was unprofessional.
Can't believe how good these guys are!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aaron E.Covina, CA010Apr 24, 2023Updated review
Well over 15 emails back and forth with Jolly Plumbing. I need to file a complaint now with Consumer Affairs through the Attorney General's office in Kentucky. As you can see, even the owner doesnt know anything. At Jolly Plumbing, the left arm doesnt seem to know what the right arm is doing, but they'll charge you $70,000 at the drop of a hat and take your house from you. If you have a plumbing issue, get as many estimates as you can, and don't hire Jolly Plumbing.

Hi Aaron, we are sorry about your experience with us. It sounds like we fell short of our 5-Star Service here. If no one has reached out yet, we will make sure to be reaching out shortly to learn more so we can get better.
Mar 31, 2023Previous reviewDo not hire this company for any reason whatsoever. They are thieves. They will suck you into financing option through a third party and then continue to run up your charges after increasing the amount of your loan day after day.
They charged me $250 to cable my main sewage drain on day one, then $6500 to snake the same line on day two and were going to charge me an additional $6500 to snake the line a third day. After the second day, they had an additional 80 feet to go before reaching the city sewage line. At 10 feet cleared per day, they were looking to charge me up to $70,000 to clear the full length of the line. I said that was ridiculous because you could just dig it out and replace it for less money. I told them to stop and it still cost me $6,750. The line is still plugged. - Lucky L.Harrison, OH30151May 11, 2023
EXPENSIVE!!! I called to have a strainer and faucet installed in a new sink. I have purchased all the needed parts ahead of time. I was quoted over $500. I laughed and told him I'd do it myself. It took me 20 minutes to complete. It was not a complicated install. I have no idea how they justify their prices. Do they charge $1500 an hour? The plumber was friendly but the price was comical. I suggest you shop around. I'd hate to see what a complicated job would cost.

I have been building and contracting homes for 25 years. I have never ran across a company that tries to scam people like this company does. They said HVAC was leaking carbon monoxide and needed to be replaced. High pressure sales even trying to scare my son into leaving work to hurry and sign. JOLLY then dropped the price significantly when they saw my son wasn't biting at their bullshit. 2 other companies came in for inspections after and no issues. This outfit is straight up scaming people. They will respond w some blah blah blah crap " we are sorry and try to fix internal issues" that is for them to try and look good. They are set up to scam people based on some of these other reviews and the experience. 12 thousand dollar scam job. Nice try Jolly. They were not experiencing ANY problems with the units- they just needed an age of the unites for the sale of the house. The service tec and the sales were in on it together. Lying about leaks and high pressure sales from the sales team. This means this is happening often. I can't imagine how many young kids and elderly they are stealing from. JACK I don't need to reach out to you. You know what they are doing to people.

The worst service I have had from a home service company. Left things all over, did not replace where they came from. Sorry I had to leave while Zack was still here. Big regret, I contacted the company and complained, they said they would refund 10%, that is about $10.00. big deal. And that has been two weeks and I haven't even got that from them. DO NOT USE JOLLY PLUMBING. Oh they replaced a faucet on my bathtub,. Again BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!

Isaiah Maines....what can I say. He came in, traced the entire gas line, which a different plumber didn't do, and figured out why our dryer was getting no gas. Seems a pressure tester turned the line off in a remote area of our garage and never turned it back on. So not only did we dispose of what was probably a perfectly good gas dryer but have sent two new ones back to the appliance store assuming the dryers were defective. Once the first plumber told us our line was good (I don't know how since gas was turned off), we had Jolly/Isaiah come out after the second new dryer didn't heat. He did his job and did it well! While I'm frustrated this all has cost throwing out a perfectly good dryer, the purchase of a new dryer because it was assumed the first dryer was not worth fixing, and a second plumbing service call, I'm glad it was figured out. Thanks Jolly and thanks Isaiah!!
