The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the “Where We Stand” 2022 legislative agenda preview on November 30, 2021 from 4:30-6:00 PM at Triple Crown Country Club, located at 1 Triple Crown Blvd. Union, KY 41091.

The event will feature a panel discussion with members of the Northern Kentucky Caucus, including Representative Buddy Wheatley, Representative Sal Santoro, and Representative Rachel Roberts, as well as two members from Senate and House leadership, including Majority Caucus Chair Sen. Julie Raque Adams, and Speaker Pro Tempore Representative David Meade. This panel will be discussing the NKY Chamber’s legislative priorities among other timely topics.

Senator Julie Raque Adams, Majority Caucus Chair - Senator Adams currently serves as the Kentucky Senate Majority Caucus Chair. She has represented the citizens of Jefferson County in the Senate since 2015 and previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives and on the Louisville Metro Council. Prior to being elected to serve in Senate Republican Leadership, she was the Chairwoman of the Senate Health and Welfare Committee.

David Meade, Speaker Pro Tempore - Rep. David Meade currently serves as the Kentucky House Speaker Pro Tempore and has served the Kentucky 80^th District, which includes Lincoln County and part of Pulaski County, since 2013. He is Vice Chair of the House Committee on Committees and the House Rules Committee. In addition, he works for the Lincoln Realty and Auction Company and is engaged in various related state associations.

Representative Buddy Wheatley is a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, serving the 65th District in Kenton County since 2019. Rep. Wheatly is an attorney and served as a Covington firefighter for 20 years. He currently serves on the State Government and Transportation House Committees, among others.

Representative Sal Santoro - Rep. Sal Santoro has represented the Kentucky House District 60 in Boone County since 2007. Santoro also serves as president of the Santoro Electric Company Incorporated and is a former Kentucky State Trooper. Rep. Santoro currently serves on the House Appropriations and Revenue; Licensing, Occupations, and Administrative Regulations; Banking and Insurance; and Transportation Committees. He also serves as the chair for the Budget Review Subcommittee on Transportation.

Representative Rachel Roberts - As one of the newest members of the NKY Legislative Caucus, Rep. Rachel Roberts brings her experience as a small business owner to the halls of Frankfort. Rep. Roberts represents the citizens of Campbell County and is a resident of Newport. She serves on the Local Government Committee, as well as the Tourism & Outdoor Recreation and Small Business & IT Committee.
