Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky (CGNK) is a women-led, volunteer-based non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and families in the Northern Kentucky area. Our mission revolves around fundraising and community outreach, with a singular focus on making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve by providing new, well-fitted shoes to local children in need. Each year, we host the Happy Feet Ball, serving as the primary fundraiser for our organization. These funds are channeled into supporting the CGNK Shoe Fund, a vital initiative that has been running for over four decades. Through strategic partnerships with local schools, churches, and social service agencies, we identify children in need and swiftly address their footwear requirements. Utilizing platforms like AmazonSmile, we procure new pairs of shoes, ensuring that every child has access to this fundamental necessity. The impact of this initiative is profound; when children arrive at school with shoes in good condition, educators observe improved focus and engagement, fostering an environment conducive to effective learning.
